1980
Founded in 1980, Courir opened its first store in Paris with the aim of offering quality sports shoes. Today, Courir is France's leading sneaker retailer, and a benchmark for finding the hottest pairs of lifestyle sneakers on the market.
2000
The brand joins the GOSPORT group.
2014
Present on social networks since 2014, Courir now federates a large community of over 2M subscribers on all platforms.
2015
Launch of its e-commerce site, quickly becoming a benchmark for online sneaker sales.
2017
In 2017, the brand launched its new Wood concept-store, a project designed for women and based on the codes of sneaker culture.
2018
Courir is strongly accelerating its international expansion with the opening of several stores across Europe. The brand is also spreading widely outside European borders through its master franchise partnerships in the Middle East, North Africa and French overseas departments and territories.
2019
With its Share The Sneaker Spirit campaign, Courir is affirming its identity and mission in 2019. This vision is embodied in the creation of its own media, Sneaker Spirit, which has become a benchmark in the world of sneaker culture.
2021
Courir acquires Naked Copenhagen. The aim: to become Europe's No. 1 sneaker destination for women, as reflected in its signature Supplying Girls With Sneakers. Founded in 2004 by Stine Lindholm Pedersen and Tommas Olsen, Naked Copenhagen is THE reference for sneakers exclusively dedicated to women through a premium offer.
