Adidas Superstar: recognisable anywhere!

Originally designed in 1969 for playing basketball, the Adidas Superstar dominated the courts during the seventies. It was quickly adopted on the street, thanks to the influence of hip-hop stars. In 1986, the group Run-DMC released their song "My Adidas" in which they praised sneakers and in particular the Superstar. Now a real fashion icon, this minimalist shoe has a special feature that makes it unique: its rubber tip, nicknamed the “shell-toe”.
